Day 36 ‘Wish Upon a Star’ – 01/01/10
Happy New Year…todays photo is of a canal bridge near home. I don’t often walk around here at night, and liked the way it was lit up by all the lights in the area. I also liked the way the plane flying past looked like a sooting star, captured on a slow exposure. Overall i was pretty pleased with the effect, just took a long time to decide whether to process in Black and White or colour.

The subject of the bridge is well described in contrast to the surrounding features.We particularly like the way in which the jetty on the right and the lit walkway on the left lead into the scene.
I think this is my favourite shot of the project so far…it will be interesting to pick through them all at the end of the 365 days!
