Day 60 ‘Waiting Room’ – 25/01/10

Tonight i spent my evening waiting around in a hospital room near Great Portland Street in London. Fortunately it wasn’t for anything terribly serious, but none the less, not a fun experience. Whilst i was waiting about, i thought i’d try and find something interesting to photograph. I liked the suitably morbid feel to this shot, with the wallpaper, and the reflection of the room in the mirror. I deliberately processed the mirror in black and white, to add a little more to the somber feel. In the end i am very pleased with this shot, as it is a little different to my normal style (whatever that is?).

  1. I like the way you shot this. The B&W for the mirror was a great choice to emphasize that piece of the photo.

  2. i agree with heather. this well thought out. great job. hopefully you’re not at the hospital for too serious of a reason.
