Day 270 ‘Highlighters’ – 23/08/10
Perhaps too much, but i deliberately over saturated the green (and splash of yellow) in this shot. I decided that i wanted a splash of colour for todays image and was drawn to the green mossy walls (again), however felt this worked as a selective colour image with the scene in general in black and white!

I like the treatment and don’t think it’s necessarily overdone. I would have been tempted to crop out the railing though – I find it distracts from the colour, texture and repeated pattern of the river wall. I think it may be a stronger image without it. Nicely seen – it’s just the kind of detail I like to shoot myself.
Hmmm think you might be right! Had deliberately left in as a break from the symmetry!
