Day 272 ‘It Pays to Look Up Sometimes’ – 25/08/10

I stopped into Tesco’s for some groceries on the way home, and was forced to come out via Canary Wharf DLR station, because the escalator down is under repair. As i walked through i noticed how dramatic the ceiling was with all it lines, patterns and symmetry. I was tempted to go black and white, but loved the almost retro brown feel to the light in the shot, so here is Day 272….only 93 days to go!!!!!!

Yes – superb image! I’ve seen a few shots of this location but not this angle. Agreed, thought it would probably work very well in monochrome, I like the brown tones and especially like that they’re localised to the bottom of the image. Well spotted and executed.
