Almost 365: Kebab

Kebab 960x640 Almost 365: Kebab

Almost 365: Kebab

This image was another Eggleston inspired photo taken on Day 64 of my project 365. This was capturing an empty scene in a kebab restaurant near London Bridge. Again as with alot of the image like this I can’t quite decide what i think of this picture, but there is something that draws me to this.

Day 126: It’s So Easy

DAY0127 Its So Easy 950x534 Day 126: Its So Easy

Day 127 ‘It’s So Easy’– 02/04/10

Grabbed this shot walking the dog this morning. Will be interested to see what the verdict on this one is, i personally like it, it fits into what i consider to be my William Eggleston Inspired shots. Not sure what Eggleston would make of it! That said i thought this made a nice simple composition, with the vibrant purple of the bins contrasting with their use and location.

Day 111: Down But Not Out

DAY0111 Down But Not Out 950x534 Day 111: Down But Not Out

Day 111 ‘Down But Not Out’– 17/03/10

I’ll be intrigued to see what the verdict is for this shot. Sometimes i am surprised ar what a good or bad reaction a shot gets when i post it up. I really like this photo, but i can’t say quite why, which is why i wonder if it will be a MISS for most people.

Day 63: My Eggleston

DAY0063 My Eggleston 950x712 Day 63: My Eggleston

Day 63 ‘My Eggleston’ – 28/01/10

This photo was taken in what was an extremely grotty and bizarre pub on the way back from the failed visit to the William Eggleston exhibition. The pub itself felt almost like an art installation with its unplugged fruit machine, half dismantled BBQ and 60′s decor. I almost deleted this photo when i got home, but am strangely drawn to it. The shot was very deliberately taken, and inspired by one of the exhibition photos from the exhibition website. So this is my homage (misguided as it may be) to William Eggleston.
