Can I Kick It

This was another of the images taken on Steve Davey’s mastering composition course. This was shot in the scare park under the National Festival Theatre near Waterloo in London. I was deliberately trying to get a scene that captured the action on the left and the family taking photos on the right.

I took this shot on whilst on a Mastering Composition photo course run by Steve Davey, the course was really useful covering lots of topics specifically on getting the thought process right when approaching a photograph. This shot inspired because of the interest i felt between the contact between the street art and the character in the background.

This photo of what i think is quite a grumpy looking seagull was taken whilst i was waiting to order Pasties at the tea shop on St Michaels Mount near Penzance in Cornwall. I was really impressed how well this shot came out and the zoom on the Sony Cybershot HX95, which is definitely proving itself to be a nice companion to the much more serious Fuji X100.

This photo was taken using the ND10 filter of St Michaels Mount near Penzance in Cornwall. I did have a mini disaster in the the wind caught the tripod, which could have ended in disaster, but i managed to catch the camera with the Shutter Release cable preventing it all ending up on the wet sandy beach. The shutter release cable sadly didn’t survive which meant that i didn’t quite get the shot i wanted for the day.

This was the other close up image that i took of the people in the back of the crowd at the Take That gig, i did this time clone out the legs in the top right corner (albeit not particularly well). So this is a cleaner tighter alternative to to Targets Sighted which i posted up earlier this week.

This was a crowd shot i took a the Take That concert on Wednesday, i liked it it black and white as it seemed to fit the crowd scene. At the last minute though i was tempted for just a dash of selective color with the pink foam hand of one of the crowd, not sure if it ruins or makes the photo….obviously i hope it makes it!

Perhaps an unusual photo to post up from the Take That gig we saw in Wembley yesterday, but i really liked this scene that i caught as i was testing out the zoom at the beginning of the night. Something about the characters and the lines in this scene i find really appealing. Also this is my first post with my seriously unprofesional Sony HX9V taken on full auto, not that there is really any other option!

Here is the final Cochrane’s Curio from his 40th birthday cabinet, a pair of Pulsafe Fettler Goggles as seen worn by J Dog a couple of days back!

Need to Feel Young Again

This is almost the last of Cochrane’s Curios to post up! I’m not sure what story these dentures would tell if they could talk, but it is interesting looking at this cabinet of ‘things’ and realising that they have all at some point in time had a life, or been part of a life before.
