Day 280: No He’s Not
Day 280 ‘No He’s Not!’ – 02/09/10
I kinda feel sorry for Bonzo, whoever they are…it is bad enough that this was scrawled along with some other humorous graffiti in the goods lift (some of the schoolboy phallic graffiti was too x-rated for the blog) but now this slander is out n the internet! So if for one would like to say No He’s Not! I thought this made a slightly funny image, and is definitely the low water mark for graffiti as an art form!
Day 275: It’s all in the Detail
Day 275 ‘It’s all in the Detail’ – 28/08/10
I was hunting for Graffiti but noticed this patch of wall with paste, stickers and all manner of gunk on it! I like the way this has worked out as an interesting texture shot.
Day 275: Who Watches the Watchmen
Day 275 ‘Who Watches the Watchmen’ – 28/08/10
Took the morning to wander around Shoreditch looking for photo’s this morning. My eye’s were drawn to this bright yellow piece of graffiti, which i thought would look great with a passer by…and dutifully this cyclist soon showed up!
Day 263: Life is Wonderful
Day 263 ‘Life is Wonderful’ – 16/08/10
Hiding from the rain on our way back to our hotel we stumbled through St Germain in Paris, which is currently my favourite part of this beautiful city. Todays two photos are off a some graffiti i found in the back streets that i thought was absolutely fantastic.
Day 263: Rue De Grafitti
Day 263 ‘Rue De Graffit’ – 16/08/10
Hiding from the rain on our way back to our hotel we stumbled through St Germain in Paris, which is currently my favourite part of this beautiful city. Todays two photos are off a some graffiti i found in the back streets that i thought was absolutely fantastic.
Day 237: Brighton Squares 5
Day 237 ‘Brighton Squares 5’ – 21/07/10
The last couple of shots for the Brighton Squares, this one captures the ‘Cassette Lord’ graffiti that is all over these junction boxes around Brighton. I liked the simple graffiti, and the way this transformed these common, boring structures!
Day 235: Brighton Squares 2
Day 235 ‘Brighton Squares 2’ – 19/07/10
A photo of some of the graffiti near Brighton Marina. I am a sucker for graffiti, although have not taken all that many photos so far on my project 365.
Day 198: Wheres Waldo?
Day 198 ‘Where’s Waldo?’ – 12/06/10
Not that i spotted this until after i’d taken the photo, but if you look carefully you’ll se a little piece of silhouette graffiti on this shot! I actually took the shot because i liked the bricked up windows, the pipes and the arrow…but Waldo just made it for me. Another little piece of East London captured for posterity.
Day 130: Shoreditch Graffiti
Day 130 ‘Shoreditch Graffiti’– 05/04/10
I’m surprised how little Graffiti I have captured on this project so far, as it is something to both love and hate in the urban environment. I thought this patch of Graffiti in Shoreditch (hence the literal title) looked fantastic, and I have tried to capture it along with it’s surroundings. I deliberately used some selective colouring to get the graffiti to stand out from the rest of the environment.
Day 51: S Question
Day 51 ‘S Question’ – 16/01/10
It is Quiz Night tonight, so this is inadvertently, ever so slightly topical? I spotted this little patch of graffiti on the way to Tesco Express to pickup some supplies for tonights quiz. I have no idea what this graffiti might mean, or who might have written it, but i i thought it made an interesting shot. Anyway…need to go an prepare for my quiz round, so that will have to be it for today
Butcher Row E14
Butcher Row E14 – 31/03/09
This is another early photo that i took, shortly after my photography lesson. I like this shot because i think the combination of the colours of the graffiti against the black and white of the signs on the wall works well.
