Day 336 ‘City Life’ – 28/10/10

I added Nik Software’s HDR Efex Pro to the rest of the Nik Complete Collection i picked up for Aperture before i kicked of my 365. This has given me the interest to have a little bit of a play with HDR again after becoming a bit disenfranchised by my early attempts at HDR. So far i’m impressed in how this seems to pull the images together in a much more pleasing way (in my eyes). I’ve been meaning to take this shot for a number of months now, and think this works really well with the HDR processing, bringing out all the details in this little corner of my neighbourhood. In particular i wanted to capture the tower block, and liked the angle capturing it through the local football pitch on the edge of the local park. Was torn between black and white and colour, but thought colour was much more interesting.

I’ll have to strike up yesterdays photo as another MISS for the project, although i quite liked it’s simple structure. Back down onto the beaches this morning, and i liked this little bit of broken glass, in which i see the word WAR. I am sure it is not really War, or even the letter W, but it looks like it to me. So here is a splash of something diferant, and for the first time in a few days some colour!
